Responsibilities

  • Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
  • Work closely with architects and engineers to go over plans and blueprints
  • Make timetables for the project, determining material and labor costs
  • Negotiate with and hiring subcontractors and workers, scheduling workers on site
  • Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems
  • Be able to travel all over the whole Great Vancouver area

Requirements

Job Type: Full-time
Job Location: Langley, $40 per hour (35 hours/week)
Required education: Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma
Required experience: 5 years experience in construction industry. Management experience would be an asset
